Choice of Teachers
At QQEnglish, lesson points vary from teacher to teacher. Teacher points are based on customer evaluations and booking rates. We have the following types of teachers:
40-point teachers: a teacher in training.
50-point teachers: general teachers (most of our teachers are 50-point teachers)
75-point teachers: a limited number of teachers who have a significantly high reservation rate and a good reputation among students.
100-point teacher: an experienced teacher who supervises and mentors other teachers.
The teacher points are based on 25min lesson. If the lesson is 50min, doubled teacher points are needed (e.g. 50min lesson of 50-point teacher requires 100 teacher points)
Fixed Reservations
This is a function that allows the system to automatically keep taking lessons with the same teacher and at the same time. Since there is no need to make a reservation each time, it is easy to plan your lessons and learn more effectively. In this case, a nomination fee of 20% of the lesson points per 25 minutes will be charged.
The nomination fee will not be refunded even if the lesson is canceled.
Substitute Teachers
The substitute teacher system is a system whereby lessons are provided by a substitute teacher when a reserved teacher is unavailable due to absence, etc. However, not all lessons are available, and only when there is a teacher available at the same time we offer a lesson with the substitute teacher. If a lesson is scheduled with a substitute teacher, lesson points, tickets, and the number of available reservations will not be refunded. You can change your preference for a substitute teacher from your account settings on the “My Lesson” page.
Adds-on Points Curriculum
Adds-on Points Curriculum is a curriculum in which points are earned for the curriculum, in addition to teacher points.
The points awarded are a flat rate of 25 points per 25 minutes of the lesson.
For example, if you reserve a 50-point teacher’s Adds-on Points Curriculum lasting for 50 min, you will need 100 points for the teacher and 50 points for the curriculum, which is in total 150 points.
Additional Points
You can purchase additional points when your plan is out of points but would like to continue taking lessons. Additional Points can be purchased on the student page. Please note that only buying the additional points is not allowed (you need to have a plan purchased to buy additional points.)
When a Student Cancelled a Lesson
From the lesson start time…
- Cancellation more than 12 hours before the lesson start time: Lesson points / 1 ticket will be refunded.
- Cancellation between 12 hours and 1 hour before the lesson starts time: 50% of the lesson points / 1 ticket will be returned.
- Cancellation less than 1 hour before the lesson starts time: Lesson points /1 ticket will be forfeited.
From after the lesson starts…
- Cancellation with notice via the “Cancel” button: Loss of 1 ticket/lesson point
- Cancellation without notice: 200% of the lesson points will be lost.
When a Teacher Cancelled a Lesson
From the lesson start time…
- Cancellation more than 12 hours before lesson start time: Lesson points / 1 ticket will be refunded.
- Cancellation between 12 hours and 1 hour before lesson start time: 150% of lesson points / 1 ticket will be refunded.
- Cancellation less than 1 hour before the lesson start time: 200% of the lesson points / 1 ticket will be returned.
